General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, It's safe to take these medications as prescribed. Based on the history and the relevant findings of 'fluid in the pouch of douglas' you seem to be suffering from pelvic inflammatory disease for which your doctor has advised the above treatment.

Continue taking the medicines as prescribed and avoid having any kind of sex till you complete the course of treatment. Also your recent sex partner(s) if any should also be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
