Is It Safe To Take Allegra While Suffering From COPD?

I suffer from COPD. My family DR. was treating me for an ear infection with antibiotics and Flonase. With this infection I had severe earache with hearing loss and he wanted me to see an ENT which I did yesterday. He told me to finish the antibiotics. He stopped the Flonase and put me on Allegra 180mgs. at bedtime. With my COPD and bronchitis my infrequent cough has been productive which I want. Is it safe to take Allegra with COPD? Thank you.
