Is It Safe To Take Aleve While On Hydrocodone?

I had surgery and was prescribed hydrocodone-acetominophen for pain. I have not taken any today but have taken aleve. Is it okay for me to take the hydrocodone? My ankle is hurting pretty bad, i put weight on it by accident and it feels like its swollen.

If it is Hydrocodone/acetaminophen, than you don't have any problem taking it with Aleve, due to their different mechanisms of action. For the swollen ankle, if I were your treating doctor, I would suggest you put ice on the ankle, in order to reduce the swelling.
