Is It Safe To Take Aleve For Stiffness In Hips Despite Suffering From Osteoarthritis?
I have osteo arthritis, have had two hip replacements, and I continue to experience stiffness. And real discomfort when I begin to move. I have discovered that if I take one ALEVE these symptoms improve and last for 7-10 days. What would be any negative effects that I might experience as a result of taking ALEVE over time?

The use of one aleve every few days is not likely to have any significant effect.
Daily use or use of higher doses consistently would be associated with possible effects on the kidney and heart.
It can be associated with heart disease when used more frequently.
In addition, irritation of the lining of the stomach, can also occur resulting in reflux symptoms.
