Is It Safe To Put Petroleum Jelly On Incision Site To Stop Urine Leakage?

I had surgery two days ago to remove a very large stone that was stuck at the base of my penis. The doctor had to cut me open on my penis and down the base of my penis to remove the stone. I am wearing a catheter now because I have been incontinent all my life. I have always wore diapers for the incontinence. He put the catheter in hopes of keeping me dry enough for the incision to heal. The catheter doesn t come out for another 12 days. I am leaking alot around the catheter which he expected. My question is can I put petroleum jelly on my incision to keep the leaking urine that runs back off of it? Because the urine is irritating the incision and making it burn alot.
