Is It Safe To Move And Lift Heavy Objects During Pregnancy?
I work a very physical job. I m a package car driver and deliver and pick up an average of 1,000 pieces a day. We ship up to 150 lbs. I am able to and was able to handle and lift 60-65 lbs ok but anything that weighs more than that it was kind of a doing whatever I could to move and deliver the piece. Is it safe for me to be bending over and jerking on things to move them 15-20 ft that are too heavy for me to physically pick up ? I m over 16 weeks pregnant but I am just worried I may hurt myself at some point doing this.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
No it is not safe to move & lift heavy objects during pregnancy especially 2nd & third trimester.Lifting heavy items like 60-65 lbs can cause serious injuries in a 16 week pregnancy. You should avoid driving too. So you should change your job till delivering your child, as this may be dangerous to you & your child. Refer to a gynaecologist for further queries
Hoping your query is solved
