Is It Safe To Give Cow S Milk To One Year Baby?

Hi Dr. Samuel,My baby just turned one last july 2nd, and we started giving him Cows milk with vitamin D.. Is this okay? or too early to give him cows milk? I believe the regular powdered milk is just for 12months baby and I don t breasfeed anymore.. Please advise. Thank you.

According to me it is safe to give cow milk.as u said that your baby is one year old it safe and quite healthy to give cow milk.initially give him in small amount and see to it that he is able to digest it, you can dilute cow milk with some amount of water and give initially and as he becomes habitual to that you can give directly.if he has some loose motions or any other digestive complaints by giving cow milk then you can go for any other options.before giving him u should boil cow milk properly to avoid any infection conditions.hope this will help you.
