Is It Safe To Continue Scuba Diving When Eardrums Are Bit Dull?
I have been taking scuba diving lessons and having a bit of trouble equalizing my ears. I visited my doctor and she said that my eardrums are a bit dull and is referring me to an ENT. Is it unsafe to continue my scuba instruction... so far we are only training in a 15 ft deep pool?
Hello i am dr.kalpana ENT specialist. You should avoid scuba diving for few days and take a nasal decongestant like otrivin nasal drops two times for three days it will decongest your eustachian tube which is a tube between ear and area behind the nose is responsible for equalizing ear pressure during descent.
