Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
This is Neha. I have had a lot of pimples on my face, especially on the cheeks. Now they are gone, but left those areas full of red marks. A medical store man advised me to use Glocin Gel. I did and a couple of marks did fade, but in a very slow process.
Should I discontinue? If yes then what should I do for the marks?
Thanks for your query . Glocin gel is clindamycine containing gel . It kill bacteria causing pimple and remove oil from skin surface which is one of the trigger factor for acne . Yes you can use it safely under expert advice .
Along with glocin gel you should also use sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays . For acne marks you should use cream containing kojic acid and vitamin C . Drink plenty of water (minimum 8 glasses of water daily) and eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
I condition doesn't resolve or get worse then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics and for marks he/she may recommend chemical peeling , dermabrassion .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
