Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Possible To Conceive While Having Irregular Periods And Polycysts?
I m 27 years and had chemical pregnancy in June 2015 at 5 weeks. Have history of irregular periods and polycysts . Not diagnosed with PCOS. BMI is healthy. Currently taking 5mg folic acid and 5mg biotin tablets. Would like to know if okay to start TTC now?
You would need an assessment to see how regular or irregular the cycles are. You would need to see if the uterus is healthy and to check other factors like family history for you and your partner.
If everything is normal and the doctor says it's alright, you can try to conceive. Blood testing and checking blood groups can help as well.
Along with this, it is important to check the family tree for any genetic disorders.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
