Is It Okay To Change The Hospital When On Hypothroid Medication?
Dr. Derek Williams will not refill my hypothyroid med (taken daily) without an appointment. It's Feb 21 and bloodwork was done Sept. 21 and there were no problems. 5 months and suddenly I need a new appointment to get a 90-day refill. A med that I've been take for 5 years now. I started initially at another medical facility. I switched to Vasek Polak Health Clinic in Hawthorne, CA to save $.
I am so sorry to hear about this hypothyroidism. It is okay to change hospitals while on drugs for hypothyroidism. However, I always encourage patients to resolve difference with their treating physicians rather than changing the doctors. Only resort to this when every other efforts is not making progress.
