Is It Ok To Give Formula Milk For A 1-month-old Baby?
Hi Doctor, Myself Chandresh, I m a father of 1 month old baby boy. He was just 2.5 KG at the time of born and after that he loss to 2.1kg due to Jaundice. now he is just of 2.2 kg. one more major thing is his mother not producing milk much so we are using Formula milk (Dexolac 1). so can you please advice me if is ok for him to give formula milk and how to gain weight according to his age? We are very much worried and tensed for his health. Many thanks in advance. Chandresh

You can give formula milk to the baby along with other nutritional supplements as suggested by your doctor. The baby will achieve growth if formula milk and supplements are given as per prescription by your doctor. The baby should be monitored on regular basis for growth and development.
