Is It Normal To Hear Loud Pulse In Ears After Having Grommets Fitted In Both Ears ?

I am a 54 year old woman who weighs 60kg .I had a grommets fitted in both ears yesterday and during the night I had a very loud pulse like a heart beat in my right ear.The right side of my face - around the ear and eyes feels hot and uncomfortable. Is this normal and will it go away?It kept me awake all night
