Hello. Thanks for asking form HCM.

I can understand your concern. Headache occurring for few days after head injury is normal.
The problem occurs when it is not responding to painkillers or continuously increasing in severity or associated with vomiting/loss of consciousness/seizures. In such cases, it needs evaluation as dangerous head injury presents like this. You need to consult ER as soon as possible. The doctor might advise CT scan of brain to rule out fracture or intracranial bleed. Further management will be decided after CT report.

If you do not have any of above symptoms alone with headache, you can follow few tips
: Apply icepacks at injury site
: You can take painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: Avoid pressure at injury site while lying down
: You can apply Diclofenac gel at injury site if no wound
: Still no relief, consult doctor. He might advise CT head to rule out fracture or intracranial bleed. Further management will be decided after CT report.

Hope it will help you. Take care
