Hi i am 30yrs old and 9 weeks pregnant. recently at night time I have been feeling like my heart is working very hard.. beating very very hard ? Is this normal so early in pregnancy. i have had 2 pregnancies before and didn't notice this symptom at all.
Very hard beating means i take it as fast beating, which is very common in pregnancy.
The increase in heartbeat might begin when you conceive and might last till the time you go in labor. It may last through your delivery too in some cases.
The presence of a growing fetus in your body is one of the main reasons for the increase in heart beat of your body. In such a case your heart needs to work harder in order to ensure that proper nutrition is available to the growing fetus as well as you. There is a significant increase in the blood volume somewhere around 30 to 50 %. This will need the heart to pump the blood out faster.
If it is bothering you too much, then consult your doctor to rule out any other problems, but i am sure that he/she will tell the same thing.
