Is It Normal For Subconjunctival Hemorrhage To Expand And Can I Exercise?

I awoke yesterday with a subconjunctival hemorrhage. It was small yesterday, but is covering half my eye today. First, is it normal for it to expand initially? I realize my eye will reabsorb the blood over several days, but I was concerned with it initally getting so much larger. Second, is it safe for me to exercise (elyptical, weight lifting) or can this create complications in the healing process?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having subconjunctival hemorrhage which indicates collection of blood under the conjunctiva.
The most common cause is mild trauma or injury. It is a self resolving condition
and it will be absorbed over 3-4 weeks.
It is normal to appear has expanded before the subconjunctival hemorrhage gets absorbed.
You can do exercises but you should better avoid lifting heavy weights as this may cause re bleeding.

Thank you
