Is It Alright To Take Cipro Without Testing For Proteus Mirabilis?

Blood work, urine and stool sample have been done. Dr. say proteus mirabilis is the concern. Suggested treating with 500 mg of cipro 2 x a day for 10 days. Then a regimen of magnesium, probiotic, etc. Should a infectious disease dr be seen before suggested cipro.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned your clinical symptoms for what you have done the test if this is the infection then antibiotic would work else this useless to take the antibiotic in absence of bacteria and this need to be confirmed accurately, hope this information helps, take care.
