Is Inflammation In Lungs A Cause For Concern?

I been coughing for the past 10 weeks and went to the dr had a xray done it came back abnormal. Was referred to see a lung dr in which he told me inflammation in both lungs. Looks cloudy. I had a cat scan test done too and he still is not sure what it is. I have a PET test next week. Could this be serious? What could it be. No other pains as far as shortness of breath only coughing & wheezing sound at night when i breath.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, without looking to the x-ray plate and image (Radiograph) nothing can be seen, you have to ask for it with chest physician or else go for second opinion it can not be taken as granted hope this information helps.
