Is Inability To See Nearby Object Post Barrage Laser Treatment A Cause For Concern?

Hello, I am a myopic patient with -2.5 in left eye and -1 in right eye. RecentlyNow I couldn t read text near by.. I kindly request your suggestion. Thanks. I had a regular eye checkup, where I was advised to undergo Barrage laser to treat the retinal holes. After that Barrage laser treatment, I can view the distance object normally with my eyeglasses. However I couldn t see the nearby object or text clearly. Kindly suggest me, if this problem is temporary or does it require immediate attention? Thanks in advance for your help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You might have developed symptoms of presbyopia also, which start to develop after certain age. In such cases Bifocal glasses are to be used.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
