Is Hypotrophic Cardiomyothapy Dangerous?

Hi my name is Johnny. Im am 16 years old. about 5'10 and weigh about 150 lbs. i was just wondering is hypotrophic cardiomyothapy deadly? i was wondering if this heart problem is deadly because my brother died not to long ago and the autopsy came back with the results and said that is what he had.. he was only 25 yrs. old. and i found out that it is generic..
