Is Hormone Replacement Therapy Effective In Alzheimer S Disease Treatment?

My wife aged 80 has suffered with Alzheimers for 12 years now.She has been on HRT for many yearsnow.Since we moved to Cyprus Indivina1mg/2.5mg are not available on pharmacist advice moved her on to femoston2/10. She now has about 5 days light bleeding ev month. Question Does she still benefit from Hrt ,is it the right one-Advice please. Wife Anne general health good but she cannot talk or walk now. Thanks Tony

Hello,

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) will not be helpful for Alzheimer’s disease. Drugs like donepezil will be much useful. Consult a neurologist and he will direct you accordingly.
