Is High Abs Monocytes Related With Joint Pain And Arthritis?

I just received my lab results showing high Abs Monocytes along with high Bilirubin (Again). I do have several chronic health issues, mostly related to muscle, joint, and disc pain. I also have Colitis, IBS, and Gout. However, for the past 4 months my arthritis pain in my arms & legs has been overwhelming. Could these results be related, or am i looking in the wrong area?

Thank you for the question.Absolute Monocyte count is raised in variety of conditions, allergy states, infections, autoimmune diseases, blood and marrow condtions etc.In your multitude disease conditons like IBS, Colitis etc the measure indicates the fight back process and I would view it as the defense mechanism is working well with one and yes ofcourse requires treatment for respective disease processes. There should be comprehensive plan of treatment under a Gastro and orthopedic specialist backed with tests, radiology, colonoscopy etc
I find this answer helpful
