General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Junel Fe pills are the combination hormone medication used to prevent pregnancy. They contain two hormones namely norethindrone (a progestin) and ethinyl estradiol ( an oestrogen) . Vaginal bleeding between periods (spotting ) or missed or irregular periods can develop as a side effects, especially during the first few months of use. But, such type of incidents may occur at any period of time of use with other common side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, fluid retention, mood change, weight gain etc.

Take care. Hope you have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.Zubayer Alam, General and Family Physician,
