Is Generic Humira Advisable For Persistent Shoulder Pain?

I have ongoing shoulder pain which I take Amitriptyline 10mg nightly. This med does not seem to help. I had a Dr. appt. with the VA today but they told me it was not in the system even though I watched the employee put it in the system back in November 2015. I believe I have RA. I think something like a generic Humira would help. What do you think? I am in the process of sending a secured message to the VA.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if Humira advisable for persistent shoulder pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like muscle spasm , nerve compression or heart problem like angina .Humira or adalimumab reduces the effects of a substance in the body that can cause inflammation ,you can take it for the time being but consult doctor for its long term use. I would suggest you to consult cardiologist to rule out more serious condition . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile along with troponin t test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon in case of bone muscle problem . For now stay cal , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take proper rest.
