Is Ganglion Cyst, Related With Bruised Lumps On Foot?

I noticed a painful lump on the ball of my foot but experienced no trauma to cause the lump. When I rubbed it, a rather large bruised area appeared around the lump as well as the big toe and side of my foot. The bruising is gone, but the lump is still there. The lump is firm but not hard and still tender to touch and put weight on. Could it be a Ganglion cyst?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Heel of the foot is not a common site of ganglion cyst.
Painful lump on the heel can be due to soft tissue thickening known as fascitis.
Bruising commonly occurs due to trauma most commonly or due to platelets disorder or vessel disorders.
However, a clinical assessment and relevant investigations are required to know the exact nature of the lesion.
Consult your orthopedician for examination and further work up.

Thanks and take care
