is it safe to fly for a person who have a head bruise? especially if she has a hypertension? the accident happened yesterday at the zoo, i was pushing her wheelchair/walker when we hit the water drainage on the road the wheelchair got out of balance and she hit her back head on the ground. i assessed her right away, she was conscious and there was bump on her parietal region. i applied ice right away for 15 mins or more. i massage her head looking for unevenness but it was okay. the only pain that she was feeling was the bump thats on her head. but after giving her a cold compress i kept on doing that every 30mins cause im still worried. i kept on asking if she s feeling dizzy, severe headache, memory loss, muscle weakness and she said she s fine. after we got home, i clean her head, gave a cold compress one last time and then clean it with alcohol swab and the put antiseptic relief for some of the scratches. now, the bump subsided and there no change in her behavior so far, she can still walk and talk normally. there s a mild ache when you press the bump. but other than that she s okay. should i be concerned? do i still have to bring her to the doctors office for further examination. also, our flight is early morning so i was just planning to go to the doctor once we landed because were only tourist in here. what should i do?
