Is Fever, Swollen Gums With Pus While Teething Serious?

Good day doctor. My 18 months old is down with fever, running nose and i can see some molars coming. But i also noticed pus on her gums. Her gums are swollen and last night her fever hits 39.5. Please help doctor.. I am so worried. I took her to her paeds and she is given antibiotic. So far she's taken it 1 time. My question is, should i admit her straight and not wait for the antibiotics to react? Should i be concern? It doesnt help it when i just gave birth to my 4th daughter 11 days ago..

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM forum,
It doesn't seem to be of a major concern needing admission. If i were you, i would continue antibiotics as prescribed for a duration of at least 48-72 hrs and if still no signs of improvement, revisit the doctor and then decide on admission if needed. Make sure she takes the medicines without fail.
Take care.
Happy to help.
