Is Feeling Nauseous Post Paint Fumes Inhalation A Cause For Concern?

Feeling sick after paint fumes should I go see a doctor? Hi I have been spraying painting for the last four days I wore. A mask and was in my garage with the door opened. I changed and wash up after each set. I still notice some paint in my nose. But now I woke up feeling nausea.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of nauseous feeling post paint fumes inhalation which is due to polyurethane and several potentially harmful substances in paints such as volatile organic compounds, known as VOCs which are mainly responsible for ill health.

I would suggest you to do such type of work when ventilation is excellent and now open windows and keep on inhaling fresh air. Drink plenty of water and take vitamin C tablets for several weeks as it will cause antioxidation. If any symptoms occurs again consult doctor without any delay , because condition sometimes become complicated.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
