Is Excessive Sleepiness Normal While On Levetiracetam?

My wife Anne had a seasure last fall. The first and only one. She has been perscribed APO LEVETIRACETAM (25O MG) three times a day. She is also taking an antidepressant, but is being taken off this pill slowly and will be drug free except for the Levetiracetam by next week. She is suffering from PPA preimary Progressive Aphasia. For more than amonth she has been falling asleep during the day. Sound asleep. It is hard to wake her for her meals. When finnaly awale she eats a good meal. She does wake at night, but sleeps through most nights. Her balance is still excellant and goes for a walk for up to one hour. She is 78 years old. Don Badke .
