Is Emergency Doctor Consultation Advisable For Decreased Blood Pressure Level?

87yr male hb of 72 Just recovering from viral infection unknown cause . Has droppedfrom129 to72 in 6 weeks Has Ckd but has maintained Egfr7/8 for 2yrs and been able to work as usual without dialysis Was on epo once a week but renal dr stopped that 2 months ago. GP wants him to go to emergency today. Has appt with renal clinic in 4 days time . Is it necessary to go to emergency today What will they do there Your answer will be appreciated

I understand your concern.

Taking into account the medical history of the patient, he has CKD, maintained EGfr 7/8 for 2 years, but developing dropped blood pressure (bp) in 6 weeks is referring to aggravating renal failure.

I too agree the patient should go to Emergency today as soon as possible. Cannot wait until the next appointment in 4 days.
