Is Drinking Alcohol After Triple Vessel CABG Safe?
Dear Doctor.I underwent triple vessel CABG on 1st December 2009. I need only one answer for my vital question.I was a long time tobacco chewer and alcohol.Iam fully aware tobacco MUST be avoided, and I did.Can I have minimum amount of alcohol. from when, how much, to consume. One Italian researcher has found out that one or two drink a day after CABG is not a issue instead it helpful for heart to pump more efficiently.
This was also accepted by American Heart Association (AHA).
So don't worry but don't make a habit to drink more, which is not advisable.
