While cleaning out my ears a couple weeks ago, there was dried blood in my right ear canal. While it alarmed me I didn t notice it again so thought it was a fluke. Until, this a.m. when there was more in my right ear and some in my left as well. It feels like maybe their is fluid in my ears, a slight headache and earache enough to be annoying. No hearing loss...I have bad allergies and cough from sinus drainage but this is my normal life for the past 7 years. I do feel run down and have dark circles under my eyes but again this is normal with my allergies. I can t get into my doctor for two days...should I be alarmed!
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Cleaning of the ear not indicated in healthy human being.
If you clean with ear buds repeatedly it may cause external mucosal injury and bleeding or boil with bleed or membrane rupture and bleed. So until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and do otoscopy and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
