Is Doctor Consultation Advisable For A Swollen Mastoid Bone?

My 2 year old daughter was running and slipped and so the bone behind her ear (I think it is called mastoid bone) landed on the side of the table and was hit hard and now is swollen ... I put in an earphone in that ear and she was singing along so her sense of hearing is okay ... is there anything dangerous? Should I see a doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
If the swelling of the mastoid bone resolves within one week or so, then it is fine. However if it persists, or she experiences pain also, a fracture is to be suspected, and X Ray, CT scan will find out the fracture, which can then be managed by the ENT surgeon.
