Is Diarrhea A Side Effect Of Optifast Intake?

I was given a prescription of optifast for 3 weeks - the first 2 days went well the third day started having diaharia and on the fourth day started vomiting so I stopped but the diaharia has continued for a week, I have been eating lean chicken and celery and pushing fluids hoping to help with the shrinking of my liver for my gastric by pass in 2 weeks - do you have any suggestions on what I should be doing

- Drink more liquids preferably boiled water , coconut water , lemon juice
green tea , coffee , butter milk .
- Soft , light diet at intervals with preferable fresh curd .
- Avoid prolong fasting , over eating

- In some cases , patient may require lactobacillus or antibiotics for the
same for faster recovery .
