General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sun exposure would darken skin, this is the reason that many persons who believe that they have light/pale complexion go out into the sun to try and get a tan/darkening of their skin.

The darkening of her skin or present complexion would not be related to low levels of vitamin D.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
