Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
me and my husband has fair complexion.. i wonder why our baby has darker skin i wasn t able to expose my daughter in the sunlight every morning, can it be a sign of vitamin D deficiency, and does it have an effect on my baby s darker skin? can i use something?
Sun exposure would darken skin, this is the reason that many persons who believe that they have light/pale complexion go out into the sun to try and get a tan/darkening of their skin.
The darkening of her skin or present complexion would not be related to low levels of vitamin D.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
