Is Continued Intake Of I Pill Post Intercourse Safe To Avoid Pregnancy?

Hi doctor Me andy girl friend had decided toake it happen after 3 long years, we don t want a kid now. I will use condom for sure! But what about having an Ipill (early morning pill)/( contraceptive pill) for better safety. And can consuming just one pill after the sex can stop pregnancy?? Did she have to consume it for one whole month!?

Post coital pills are highly effective taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. I would not suggest you to do take I pill or any other party coital pill, is you are having protected sex, these are hormonal agents and they have their own side effect.

I would suggest you to use condom, you can also consider using spermicidal cream or jelly for more protection.

In case of missed period, I advice you to perform urine pregnancy test, it is more sensitive if you perform it after week of expected missed period and also with morning sample of urine will be more sensitive.
