Is Constant Thirst In A 5 Year Old Child A Concern?

Good day I am not sure if I should be concerned or not my 5year old daughter is always thirsty at night such that she doesn t sleep without a bottle of water at night, she once had a diabetic instant test done and it came out negative Please advise

You need to be concerned but not too woorried. Her symptom may just be due to dehydration from day activities and little fluid intake.Since diabetes has been eliminated, I will advise you just monitor her daily activities and give her enough fluids during the day.Other causes could be hormonal or metabolic. However, just observe. Follow up her activities in the day and give her fluids. If the problem continues, you see a Doctor for investigation.
