Is Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy Hereditary?

Is Chronic Inflamatory Demelinating Polyneuropathy hereditary? I guess I am freaking out because my daughter says she is exhibiting similar symptoms - leg cramps, numbness. So I guess we are not sure if it is a pinched nerve or she has what I have. My desease first came to light when I was in my late 40 s. She is 44. I am 68.

Chronic inflammatory demyelination poly neuropathy is not a hereditary disease.leg numbness can be due to reasons like poly neuropathy due to long standing diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency, or in an acute setting , progressive ascending neuropathy first affecting legs followed by whole body upwards.
