Is Brown Colored Semen A Cause For Concern?

Hi. My sperm is an odd color. Not clear nor white. It is almost a light brown color. We first noticed this last week, and check it again today with the same result. I plan on seeing a specialist about this but I m not sure which type of specialist to make an appointment with. Can you help me with that and tell me if we should be as concerned as we are about this?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Normal color of semen is white.
Brown colored semen is commonly seen with infection.
So we should rule out prostate infection in your case.
For this you should consult urologist and get done clinical examination of prostate, ultrasound examination of prostate (size) and microscopic examination of semen.
If all these are normal then no need to worry for brown semen.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
