Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has been taking 100 mg of Zoloft and has a one month old daughter. Is this safe for her baby since she is nursing? Also, she has been suffering from a severe stiff neck and started seeing a chiropractor she just told me she doesn t feel well and has been taking Norco once in awhile for her neck meds she had from her csection. Please reply
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your daughter drug and it's effects on new born.
This is one of the safest antidepressant drug, because calculating the cause and effect you may need to keep the medication on.
As your daughter is taking 100mg or below there are not too many side effects to infant, even if you find some sort of agitation or sleep disorder in your infant you may need to consult your psycatrist for further assistance.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you feel any further assistance needed.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
