Is Blood Pressure Of 201/84 A Cause For Concern?

My husband has Blood pressure of 201/84. He has been taking taking potassium chloride for high blood pressure so we do not understand this very high reading. He just began taking Eliquis for a periodic afib, and is on a cholesterol medication. I am concerned. Would you recommend that he continue on the pota Chloride?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
I hope I have answered your query. This is very high blood pressure and medication is obviously not appropriate so it should be switched to another one such as ace inhibitor or beta blocker. Also, he should do holter ecg to see if heart arrithmias are present. This p should be lowered as soon as possible so he should see his gP for a start and cardiologist if it cant be controlled in next few days. till that he should avoid salt and coffee and alcoholic beverages and have easier diet.
