Is Bleeding During Urination In The Ninth Week Of Pregnancy A Concern?

My sister is 9 weeks pregnant and has had 2 ultrasounds to make sure its not another ectopic pregnancy and had to also go to the hospital due to urinating blood but was told everything is fine and to stay in bed. Ita been a week and continues to urinate blood. Should she see another doctor as in ob and or a different hospital? Im very concerned for her and babys well being.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the amount of blood is decreasing then she can consider continuing to monitor.

If there is no decrease or the amount is increasing then she should consider informing her doctor or if she is not happy with that care, seeing another obstetrician.

A repeat ultrasound may be needed as well.

I hope this helps and wish her the best
