Is Asthma A Contagious Disease?

Hello Doctor.. Greeting.. Am a asthama patient from my childhood. Am using Asthalin rotocaps from my age of 20. Now am 30. I have 2kids and am feeding my 2nd one now.. My doubt is that... will my kids get asthama from me? I was using the asthalin rotocaps in my pregnancy as well and even now.. . Kindly clarify me.. thanks in advance for your help and support!!

I understand your concern.
Asthama is not a contagious disease. It is experienced by the subject due to bronchospasm, which may be precipitated by allergy or infections.
If you have respiratory infections along with asthamatic attacks, infection could spread to others nearby. Hence you need to take care regarding this aspect.
Kindly take proper medications and precautions as advised.
