Is Anterior Placenta With Grade-0 Maturity At 20 Weeks A Normal Finding?

I had my 20 weeks anomaly scan on 27/5/17.In my scan it was revealed that my placenta is anterior and it s reaching internal Os with grade 0 maturity.My doctor said not to worry,but I wanted to know if there is any cause of concern.should there be any precautions to be taken? Thanks in advance.

Hi I think you have a low lying placenta. You should avoid coitus and any trauma and exertion. Take proper bed rest. In case any bleeding or spotting happens, you should consult your doctor immediately. Generally placenta moves upwards by 32 weeks. So, you can get a scan done at interval of 3 to 4 weeks to confirm the position of placenta. Hope it helps.
