Is Alcohol Intake Advisable Post Colposcopy?

Hi i have had an appointment in the colposcopy clinic yesterday and they took a swab and a snip of my cervix and cant remember if the specialist said i could drink alcohol. As i have been asked to celebrate my friends birthday tonight. I want to know if its ok for me to drink tonight?
