Is Alcohol Advisable While On Zoloft?
an you drink a few cold beers while just starting zoloft. I am taking a half of a 25mg tablet before bed due to the side effects when wak in the morning for work. Slight lack of dizziness, imbalace, can t mentally focus so my Dr. suggested taking a half of 25mg & a whole tablet on the weekends so it doesn t effect my work. How long before I can see any results. I have been taking the dosage i mentioned for 2 weeks.

Zoloft usually starts its action soon. One can sense the effects in two or three days. Any alcoholic drink is best avoided while taking Zoloft and similar medication, as it may exaggerate the effects of the medication and prolong the duration of action. Please also do consult your doctor why it is not you even after taking the medicine for 2 weeks. Please also inform the doctor regarding the few beers you are taking.
