Is Af Kit Tablet For Both Partners After Having White Discharge Right Treatment?

my wife had white discharge for the first time during last 2 days , now it is stopped , and there was no foul smell in such discharge , my gynologist told both of us to take af kit tablet in one day( 4 tablets each fr me and for my wife) should we take this? or whether men should take such tabs?

Hi,

Yes, both the partners should be treated at the same time. AF Kit is a combination of three antimicrobials (azithromycin, ornidazole and fluconazole) which is commonly prescribed to treat mixed infection of the vagina caused by the bacteria and fungus.

Since your doctor had suspected this infection to be due to sexually transmitted hence both of you should take the treatment as prescribed. Also remember to avoid having sex until you have completed the treatment.
