Is A Second Pregnancy Advisable After A Painful First C-section And Infection?

yes, hello. I am a 39 year old female, looking to have my second child after my first nearly 12 years ago. I underwent a c-section, which developed into a painful infection that resulted in painful treatment with manual drainage and antibiotics. After that infection and the c-section, is the next pregnancy possible? Thanks!

welcome to Health care magic.
1.Yes it is possible to get pregnancy after the infections you have acquired after the section.
2.Since it has been quite a long time since you have been pregnant.
3.But i would suggest you to get an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis, to evaluate the status of the uterus ovaries and cervical region. Scar thickness to be seen. and skin and subcutaneous layers at post operative site to confirm healthy site.
4.Getting pregnant at the age of 39 years also needs good followup, suggest good rest and followup ultrasound scans.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
