Is A Flu Shot Advisable For A Type I Diabetic Patient?

My daughter is a type one diabetic last year in October she received a flu shot she then got sick afterwards and ended up in the hospital this year she received a flu shot and ended up sick again and ended up in the hospital should I be concerned about getting the flu shot with her

If she experienced symptoms each time that she received the flu shot then it is definitely possible that she is reacting to the shot itself.

It may be the flu vaccine itself or one of the components added to the vaccine.

If there is an alternative vaccine that can be used then this can be used instead, if there is no alternative then her doctor would need to consider whether she should get another dose next year.
