Is A Doctor Consultation Advisable For Redness On A Finger?
I have a redness on my ring finger of the right hand from the knuckle down to the last joint on the finger. It has been red for two days now. The first day I had a minimum of pain in the knuckle, but there is almost no pain now. No swelling is present. Should I get this checked?
It is called trigger finger. It happens due to infection of the finger and rarely requires treatment to subside it. No need for medical attention unless it's proving to be fatal which can be treated surgically for release and with antibiotics, it does subside.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
